Just when I thought this week was gonna get any worse, I managed to rise back up on my feet. I’m proud to say that today wasn’t such a bad day at all! In fact, it was a great day! So it turns out that Tin & Eugenia couldn’t make it to the Pasadena POPS concert/service today but that’s okayyy. I still had Gennie! We basically ushered for an hour or so before we got to sit down and enjoy the concert. Borodin’s Polovtsian Dances, Saint-Saens’ Piano Concerto No. 5 “Egyptian,” and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade. I thought I was gonna fall asleep during the Piano Concerto but it actually sounded really nice! It was a fantastic concert and it felt simply amazing to immerse myself in a world of classical music for two hours. Listening to the music… it transported my thoughts through space and… Wow. It was amazing. Didn’t have to worry about stress, pressure, drama, controversies… None of it. It was just me, the music, the concert hall, and a really great friend to experience it all with (:
After we helped with closing & cleaning up, Gennie and I went for a walk around Maranatha High School. Those rich bastards! LOL. Apparently, the Ambassador Auditorium is a central part of the high school. Running water… lockers… nature… It was like walking on a college campus! And the only running water our school has is from drinking fountains -__-“
It was a nice walk (: and a nice day overall! I felt inspired to play my violin more today. I might just add a couple of more twists to my arsenal of conducting skills for choir as well :D
Thirty minutes was the entire world to me…
